Again??
Why do you do this to me, CBS? Everytime I think I’m getting into the rhythm of new NCIS episodes, you take them away! I need my weekly dose of Tony, Ziva, McGee, Gibbs and Abby! And of course Ducky and Palmer. I can totally do without Director Vance, in fact, isn’t it almost time for a new director? Most Directors only last 2 seasons or so, which means it’s time for Vance to go! He was a problem from the start, and I must say that my least favorite episodes from this season have all involved him. Or at least, featured him widely and soured me on the rest of the episode. Plus, Gibbs acts weird when Vance is running around acting like he owns the team. I mean, who does he think he is? The Director of NCIS or something? :p
Ok, maybe I’m not getting my point across very clearly, but there’s something fishy wrong with Vance. There’s still that whole mess with that file that Trent Kort gave Gibbs on Vance, and that magic last page that is supposed to be untrue and was supposed to be shredded. Or how about the fact that Vance claims to be a former Marine, but there’s no record of it? Or that whole episode with him going back to Chicago to deal with his old friend’s death and how his whole past and things said by his wife didn’t add up with Gibbs? I don’t trust Vance, and I’m not sure I ever will. Especially considering that when he’s throwing his weight around Gibbs quits sticking up for the team. This fact was even noted by Abby in one of the early episodes this season when she made a comment about how Gibbs was “not on Team Ziva”. Truer words were never spoken, Abbs.
Anyway, to deal with my NCIS withdrawal for the week I watched the mini marathon that was on USA today. Some very classic episodes, such as episodes with dear ol’ Kate Todd, and some early Ziva appearances. Those are always great fun to watch. I still often times find myself wondering why Sasha Alexander felt the urge to leave NCIS, but then I remember we get Ziva in return and things are all right with the world.
Another thing that makes everything all right with the world? The fact that we finally get a new NCIS next Tuesday! Thank you, CBS!
